Len Levinson Book Covers
This series of covers was created for a collection of ’70s pulp novels that were being republished for both print and e-books. The client wanted to convey the gritty, visceral (some might say "cheesy") atmosphere of the genre. I selected and edited together stock photos to convey the subject matter of each story. I used typography and overall composition to tie the books together as a collection (but not a series). Shark Fighter was my personal favorite of the collection.
Fun fact: the cover image for The Last Buffoon is a real photo of the author standing in a trash can.
